National Apprenticeship Week is the chance to promote and highlight the numerous benefits that come with employing an apprentice.
The 18th annual week-long celebration of all things relating to apprenticeships runs from Monday February 10th to Sunday February 16th and brings together employers, training providers, schools, parents, stakeholders and of course, apprentices.
NAW is the date in the England's skills and training sector diary, and it's a massive opportunity for to look at the programmes available, find new apprentices and shout about the ones you've already got.
There's a ton of useful information via the Skills for Life website including how you can get on board with the various events, roadshows, and awards aimed at celebrating and promoting apprenticeships.
A good place to start - if you've not already discovered it - is the official NAW downloadable toolkit specifically aimed at employers.
This comprehensive guide provides a wealth of advice and guidance for businesses and organisations whatever their sector or size. Toolkits for colleges, other training providers, schools and stakeholders is also available.
On this site you'll find NAW logos, virtual backgrounds, graphics and visuals to help you share your news and announcements via social media. Also included are key apprenticeship messages as well as facts and figures.
Would you like to run or host a NAW event, or do you simply want to know what apprenticeship roadshows and recruitment fairs are taking place before and during NAW? If so, take a look at the NAW's events map which lists upcoming in-person and virtual apprenticeship events.
Organisers can create and register their own events so that local communities can also get involved. Additionally, the site includes details of the NAW 2025 Supporters Club - a list of leading employers who share how apprenticeships are benefiting their organisations and how they're lending their support to NAW 2025.
Launching the toolkit in October Skills Minister Jacqui Smith referred to the key role apprenticeships will play in growing the economy though an emphasis on skills and training.
She said: "We are focused on apprenticeships all year round, and I am looking forward to celebrating the achievements of the thousands who take on apprenticeships every year this coming National Apprenticeship Week. They wouldn't have these opportunities without the support of employers who train these talented individuals in the skills we need for the future.
"With our new Growth and Skills Levy, we are giving these businesses greater flexibility over their training, and through Skills England we will boost opportunities across the country so even more people can get on in life and drive our economic recovery."
There's so much to shout about - everyone's story is different - so make sure you make the most of the NAW celebrations!
