Apprenticeships welcome people from all walks of life - like those working towards level 2 trades, or learners striving for level 7 apprenticeships in professional services like law.
In response, Onefile has created a system flexible enough to accommodate this diversity, while streamlining common administrative functions.
Whatever your training need, here are five ways OneFile can help:
Hundreds of centres already use Onefile to support delivery of Functional Skills - that is training in English, Maths and ICT. Using our system, learners can build a portfolio of work to evidence that they have met criteria. And tutors can access portfolios to track progress and offer feedback. We've designed Onefile to integrate with bksb - another EdTech provider, which is already used by a significant number of people striving for functional skills. This means learners can access all online assessments and learning resources via OneFile.
Onefile has all the tools you need to deliver mid-level apprenticeships. Learners can upload photos, videos or audio recordings as evidence, map this evidence to criteria, build portfolios for the end-point assessment (EPA) and access learning resources, quizzes and mock tests.
Tutors and employers can log on to see their apprentices' work, offer feedback, generate reports, and communicate online.
It means that together apprentices, tutors and employers can rate learning and track progress throughout the whole programme.
Onefile also has a built-in off-the-job training tracker, which, with only very basic data entry, automatically calculates and tracks time spent 'on' or 'off' the job as a percentage of contracted hours.
After the introduction of high-level apprenticeships, we introduced new features to help bridge the gap between employers, training providers and universities. Apprentices can use Onefile to access reading lists, share work with their tutors, and complete tests and assignments. Each learner's journey is 100% visible so everyone can collaborate easily with Onefile.
We're also have an integration with Turnitin - the UK's leading originality checker. Which means that all evidence uploaded onto Onefile can be checked to immediately detect instances of plagiarism.
Benchmark learning
With Onefile's evaluation scorecard, apprentices can benchmark their existing understanding of each Knowledge, Skill and Behaviour (KSB) before they begin a programme. Having a clear understanding of the starting point makes it easier to plan and evaluate future learning alongside tutors and employers.
Show how learning impacts outcomes
With Onefile, apprentices can effectively marry up training, learning and outcomes - which is exactly what Ofsted wants to see.
Apprentices can easily see what they have learned, and when, and track progress - with options to record, and make reflections on, specific training activities. This makes it easy for apprentices to view all the training activities they've submitted against each KSB when they're evaluating their learning.
Record evidence of the progression of learning
Now for the really clever part. Ofsted needs to see evidence that learners have made progress - which can be tricky to evidence - but not with Onefile. Our evaluation scorecard assigns ratings automatically against each outcome and plots them on a graph to prove progression using data. Easy.
