As an NHS trust, our training and assessment responsibilities must fit around primary care obligations and adapt to very late changes in work schedules and training opportunities. This was already a challenge before Covid-19. On recommendation, we decided to purchase Onefile. With the onset of the pandemic and the need to socially distance or work from home, what was already difficult would have become impossible without Onefile.
Onefile’s cloud-based platform gave us the flexibility we needed. It allowed our team to continue training remotely, even from mobile devices. We could access the system from anywhere, including an iPad on a Sunday, which meant training didn’t have to stop, even during lockdowns. Onefile helped us maintain delivery and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
With Onefile, we monitor progress against targets and identify students who need extra support or protected time. If a student is performing above expectations, we can reallocate their support to others who need it more. Onefile’s functionality allows us to reassign roles quickly in the event of unscheduled absences, helping us stay agile and efficient. The reporting tools are excellent. We ask assessors to complete monthly reviews with students and attach sound files. This lets us sample not only written feedback, but also what students actually say, often a better gauge of engagement. Because Onefile is cloud-based, it’s accessible from anywhere. This has been vital in maintaining continuity during the pandemic. The service from Onefile has been exemplary. Any questions or issues are resolved quickly, sometimes within minutes. The platform is constantly improving, and we’ve found it to be a reliable partner in our training delivery.
