During our Ofsted monitoring visit, it became clear very early on that inspectors expected to see an Eportfolio system in place for our apprenticeship provision. They specifically looked for visibility of predicted grades at the learner level and wanted to explore individual learner progress in detail. The inspectors were already familiar with Onefile and spent significant time reviewing learners’ accounts. This meant we needed a solution that could provide transparency, structure and confidence - both for our learners and for the inspection team
Onefile enabled us to meet and exceed the expectations of the Ofsted inspectors. The platform’s scorecard feature was already in use, which impressed the inspectors. They were also able to view marked work and progress reviews directly within the system. Our learners confidently navigated their Onefile accounts and explained their evidence, which demonstrated both their engagement.
From a college perspective, Onefile’s transparency proved invaluable. We could quickly access and present additional evidence on demand, showcasing our responsiveness and our understanding of the new standards.
Onefile reinforced the importance and value of using an Eportfolio system. It not only supported our learners in showcasing their progress but also empowered our staff to meet inspection requirements with confidence. The experience confirmed that continuing to develop our use of Onefile is essential as we strive to use the platform to its full potential.
