Milton Keynes College needed a reliable, easy-to-use Eportfolio system for all apprenticeship provision. They required a platform that worked for students of all backgrounds, was 100% reliable and offered strong security for audit purposes. A key challenge under the Common Inspection Framework was knowing the progress of students instantly, which was essential for forecasting success and managing at-risk apprentices.
The college adopted Onefile in December 2014 for apprenticeships and later extended its use to all NVQs and workplace learning. Onefile is now used across health & social care, childcare, engineering, construction, IT, hairdressing, beauty, hospitality, sport, teaching and learning and business.
They customised ILPs to reduce paperwork, created electronic forms for funded delivery and developed a bank of templates for consistency and efficiency. Reviews, journals and timesheets provide transparency of progress and support.
