The way in which we learn is changing.
Advances in technology are happening at pace, informing our whole approach to education and training.
It’s widely acknowledged that employers, teachers, training providers and learners must be ready to meet the challenges of a brave new digital world if we are to succeed. And, the skills we’re going to need are being identified at the same time as the new technology is being developed, making the task even tougher.
As the leading learner management platform, we at Onefile share your ambitions. Like you, we want to see learners equipped with the skills and knowledge they’ll need for the future. Like you, we want to see people gaining and enhancing tomorrow’s skills today.
As Artificial Intelligence embeds itself into our lives, educators and industry leaders the world over are exploring how to harness its power for the greater good.
AI brings threats and opportunities, and, to future proof, you’ll need to recognise and be ready for both.
In the UK, the government has made skills for the future a cornerstone of its growth agenda – launching initiatives such as its £187 million Tech First skills programme to bring digital skills and AI learning into classrooms and communities.
And, it is improving access to learning for younger school leavers, with the introduction of foundation apprenticeships in fields with severe skills shortages, such as construction and health & social care.
Furthermore, 16-18 year olds will soon have the choice of three routes to a level 3 qualification with V levels, a new vocational option, set to join A levels and T levels from 2027.
Overhaul of the apprenticeship system has also seen the arrival of the new growth and skills levy, which allows for funding of shorter apprentice programmes. Additionally, Skills England has now taken over the role of refining, revising and co-creating occupational standards with employers and other partners so courses are more relevant.
These major changes to the funding and structure of training programmes are a lot to take in. We understand this and can work with you to help unlock funding, streamline workflows and meet your training targets.
Against such a dynamic political and commercial background, you’ll want to make sure you have the right skills’ building blocks in place.
This means asking some pertinent questions about your training requirements, such as:
Fortunately, Onefile has the answers, whatever your size or sector.
As industry leaders in learner management, we’ve been at the forefront of helping employers and training providers to streamline workflows, unlock funding and achieve higher success rates for the last 20 years.
And we’re now taking what we do to the next level.
We want to work with you to grasp the opportunities that change presents – embracing advances in software capabilities to enhance your learners’ experience.
Consistency and continuity matter to you. And they’re what we always strive for as well.
Onefile’s Canadian parent company, Harris, buys companies for life. They are in it for the long term, unlike many private equity-backed companies looking for short term gain in what is clearly a growth sector.
Our commitment to integrated learning gives us a unique perspective. We have been in edtech since its inception and have the experience, knowledge and insight to see where it’s going. We’ve been learning too.
Although our tools and products can be used in all sectors, we’re not generic, ‘one-size-fits all’ in our approach. Onefile appreciates that every organisation and business has its own unique challenges, culture and way of doing things.
Whether you’re an FE college, a private training provider or employer, we have videos and blogs containing tailored information which speak to your needs.
So, if, for instance, you’re a public sector employer, such as the NHS, fire service, prison service, or police, you can find out exactly how Onefile would work for you.
Onefile operates in a fast-moving environment. To keep pace – and be ready to adapt to our clients rapidly changing needs – we believe in staying proactive.
This means assembling a top team with all the skills and attributes to work effectively with you, now and into the future.
As Onefile’s executive vice president, I have the exciting role of providing a bridge to parent company, Harris. And I’m ably supported by our strategic leadership team, all of whom have their own particular remit but the same objective – to take forward our business and that of our clients.
Josh Redmayne – Vice President of Research & Development, heads up our ambitious roadmap as we continue to develop and bring to market enhanced tools, services and products.
We have also recently welcomed Sarah Ellis as new Vice President of Operations & Delivery to help us optimise all our operations activity around what Onefile customers value. Sarah will look to enhance efficiencies and the way in which we work with customers.
Jonathan Scott – our Vice President of Sales & Marketing, helps customers to help their learners by ensuring they use the most appropriate tools to deliver market effectiveness. Jonathan is supported in this by Katie Corrin, our Director of Client Success. Chris Woods, our Director of Revenue Operations and David Howlett, Director of Strategy, complete the team.
As you can see, we’re on the next stage of an exhilarating journey, and we’d love you to join us.
