When is the best time to select and implement a new Learner Management Platform?

There are many possible drivers that might lead to a need for a new platform. It could be that you know you are missing functionality in what you currently have, and this is impacting your efficiencies and causing extra cost and wasted time today. You could be concerned about a decrease in learner completion rates, and possibly a lack of ownership or not having the right tools in place for Tutors or Assessors to improve learner engagement. You might be wanting to make some improvements after an Ofsted investigation. It might be that your current platform is not integrated to your other systems, for example, your MIS (Management Information System).  

Alternatively, your organisation might be in growth mode, and you need to prepare for future growth and scalability, with consistent and transparent process. You might also be keen to switch for the benefits that modern technology can provide with a platform that has growing Artificial Intelligence capabilities to drive towards more streamlined workflows, accurate application for funding and ensuring successful completion by learners of their programmes.  

What's the best way to start my process of evaluation of what is out there?

I think we need a new technology platform for our learners, but how do I persuade my colleagues to support me?
